Liver Sausage from Bluebird Locker in Delmont SD

First off, liver is an  acquired taste.  It has a distinct flavor that you can learn to love.  Bluebird Locker’s Liver Sausage is a must for any fans of liver.  It has great liver flavor.  I like it with cooked cabbage and onions.

Ever since I read Nutrition and Physical Degeneration by Weston A Price, I’ve made an effort to eat some kind of organ meat once a week.  The book illustrates quite clearly that cultures who eat organ meat are healthier and live longer.  Organ meats are nutrient dense and prized by many cultures.  If fact Dr Price encountered some native tribes that only ate the organ meat and left the muscle meat for the dogs.


Don’t fret if you are not ready for the liver sausage, Bluebird locker has great German Sausage and amazing bacon.
